Though campus crime dropped to 14 reports during the fifth week of classes, 12 felony charges remain open, according to the Cleveland State University Sixty Day Crime Log.
The week prior, just three charges remained open from 17 total reports.
Partially accounting for the drop was one fire alarm and one supervisory smoke alarm. A week during the semester sees, on average, slightly more than two fire alarms and four supervisory smoke alarms.
Also, for the first time all semester, The Edge saw no reports.
Among the open charges were assault at the Recreation Center, assault at the Student Center and rape in Euclid Commons Building 4.
A combination of criminal damaging and endangering, theft and motor vehicle trespass account for the majority of the open felony charges.
Using the Sixty Day Crime Log that is available in person and online at the Cleveland State University Police Department website, the list of crime reports from the past week have been compiled into one list, excluding the campus safety escorts.
