Continuing a decline in reports from the fifth week of classes, there were 13 crimes reported during the sixth week of classes and nearly a third of those were car break ins, according to the Cleveland State University Sixty Day Crime Log.

Four incidents involving a combination of criminal damaging or endangering, theft and motor vehicle trespass took place in Lot 50, at The Langston and twice at off campus locations. The week prior, there were another four incidents involving the same combination of charges.

The Edge reemerged back on the crime log with petty theft this week, just one week after being absent from the crime log for the first time all semester.

Last week’s decrease in fire alarms stayed constant at one, though the number of supervisory smoke alarms increased back above the semester’s average with three reports.

Using the Sixty Day Crime Log that is available in person and online at the Cleveland State University Police Department website, the list of crime reports from the past week have been compiled into one list, excluding the campus safety escorts.
