Three separate reports of car break-ins stand out in the list of crimes reported during week six, according to the Cleveland State University (CSU) 60-day crime log.

The first of these reports, made on Monday, Sept. 29 in one of the unspecified core parking lots, includes two open felony charges of theft and motor vehicle trespass. Also on Sept. 29 was a non-felony report of theft and motor vehicle trespass in Central Garage, which remains open.

The third reported car break-in occurred in Lot 27 on Tuesday, Sept. 30. The charges are criminal damaging or endangering, petty theft and motor vehicle trespass. The status of the case is not listed.

An off-campus incident was reported on Wednesday, Oct. 1, listing seven charges as follows: two counts of assault, two counts of robbery with force or threat of force, one count of theft, one count of obstructing official business and one count of resisting arrest. An arrest has been made in this case.

Other reports that stand out include a Sept. 28 report of theft in Rhodes Tower that remains open and the issuance of a felony warrant in the Student Center on Sept. 29. An arrest has been made in the latter.

According to the CSU Police Department website, CSU publishes this information “as part of Cleveland State University’s commitment to a safe and informed campus community,” and it is in compliance with the Federal Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990 (renamed the Jeanne Clery Act in 1998) and the Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act.
