Car break-ins top the list of crimes reported for week four of the semester, according to the Cleveland State University (CSU) 60-day crime log.
Four total incidents of motor vehicle trespass were reported this week: once on Sunday, Sept. 14 at the Campus Safety Building or CSU Police Department; twice on Thursday, Sept. 18 in the West Garage and the East Garage; and again on Friday, Sept. 19, also in the West Garage.
Three of the four reported car break-in also included a charge of theft or petty theft. Two included a charge of criminal damaging or endangering.
Another standout crime report was made in West Garage on Sept. 18, featuring two charges of criminal damaging or endangering, two charges of criminal trespass and one charge of theft, all of which remain open.
A report of menacing and obstructing official business in the Student Center was made on Sept. 15. The case remains open. An open felony of theft is listed on a Sept. 18 crime report at The Langston, a residence hall.
Several off-campus crimes were also reported throughout the week, including a traffic stop that ended in flight, disorderly conduct at Rascal House and an open charge of petty theft at Café Ah-Roma.
