On Thursday, Sept. 11, Instagram user” cle_state_pisser” posted their first video: a first-person point-of-view shot of them urinating on the fourth level of Prospect Garage at Cleveland State University (CSU), with Rhodes Tower standing tall in the background.
Since then, they have posted additional videos of themselves urinating at various campus locations, including outside the College of Health, the Physical Education Building and the campus bus stop.
With over 170 followers, the CSU Pisser has received mixed reactions for their videos.
CSU’s Delta Sigma Phi’s official Instagram left a threatening comment on Instagram: “Not on our watch, you will be found, this isn’t a warning, this is a promise.” It is unclear if that threat was ever acted upon.
The CSU Barstool account pleaded for justice in a post: “Someone. Please stop them.”
Others remain skeptical about whether the videos are authentic.
“U using a water bottle man,” commented Instagram user nate.w612, in reference to the trajectory of the liquid.
The CSU Pisser refuted this, stating, “I have holes in my foreskin.” This has neither been confirmed nor denied.
The videos are part of a larger online trend in which students post footage of themselves urinating on school property. The trend has spread nationwide, with similar posts appearing in Pennsylvania, Boston, Texas, and even Harvard.
In many cases, the act is staged with a water bottle, or the video is shot in such a way that viewers see a liquid stream without clear confirmation of urination.
Despite the silliness of the situation, universities are reacting, often investigating, issuing warnings or considering legal actions, and in few cases, this has resulted in arrests.
While the CSU Pisser remains anonymous, they could face similar consequences in the future.
The Cauldron reached out to the CSU pisser for comment.
